Master Data for Handling Unit Management Test Scenario in EWM

In this blog, we are going to discuss the master data for handling unit management scenario tests in SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management. 

After configuring handling unit management in SAP S/4HANA and EWM to pack material we need to create the following master data.

Material Master Data

1.  Create Packaging Material

Step 1: T-code: MM01

Step 2: Enter the Material Number, Select Industry Type, and Select Material Type

Step 3: Select View

Step 4: Enter Organizational Levels

Step 5: Enter Description, Base Unit of Measure, Gross Weight, Net Weight

Step 6: Enter Transportation Group, Loading Group, Packing Material Group, Packing Material Type

Step 7: Enter Valuation Class, Standard Price, Per Unit price

Step 8: Enter Handling Unit type and click on save

2.  Create Material Master for HU Management

Step 1: T-code: MM01- Create Material

Step 2: Enter Material, Select Industry, Select Material Type

Step 3: Select View

Step 4: Enter Organizational Levels

Step 5: Basic Data, Enter Base Measure Unit, Gross Weight, Net Weight, Packaging Material Group

Step 6: Sales Org Data 1

Step 7: Sales Organization Data 2

Step 8: Sales Org Data 3

Step 9: Purchasing Data

Step 10: Plant Data 2

Step 11: Account Data 1

Step 12: WM Packaging Data

Step 13: Press Enter and Click on Yes

3.  Enter Storage locations

Step 1: T-code: MMSC

Step 2: Enter Material and Plant, Press Enter

Step 3: Enter Storage location and Click on Save

Step 4: Enter Packing Material, and Plant press enter

4. Maintain Global Data for Packaging Material

• Properties

• Packaging Data

5. Maintain Warehouse Product Master

Step 1: T-code: /N/SCWM/MAT1

Step 2: Enter the Material, Warehouse Number, and Party Entitled to Dispose, and Click on Create

• Properties

• Packaging Data

• Warehouse data

Conclusion

We have created Packaging Material and, HU Managed Material to test Inbound Process with HU management in SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse management
