PPF Action in SAP Extended Warehouse Management

PPF (Post Processing Framework) Action in SAP EWM is a flexible framework that automates and controls follow-up actions in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). It helps streamline processes by triggering actions such as creating, printing, or sending notifications based on predefined conditions.

1.       Key Components of PPF in SAP EWM

Action Definition: Specifies what action should be performed, such as sending an email, creating a transfer order, or printing a document.

Action Profile: Groups related action definitions together for a particular business process.

Condition Records: Defines the conditions under which an action should be triggered.

Action Determination: Determines the relevant action to be executed based on the defined conditions.

2.       Common use of PPF Action

Printing Delivery Documents: Automatically triggers the printing of delivery notes or picking lists during goods movement.

Sending Notifications: Sends email notifications or system messages to relevant stakeholders.

Triggering Warehouse Tasks: Automates the creation of tasks for goods movement within the warehouse.

Integration with Other Modules: Triggers updates to ERP or other systems after specific warehouse events.

You use this process to configure printing:

Your walkthrough on HU label printing in S/4HANA EWM felt practical, from setting up printers and label forms to wiring print profiles and condition records. Reads like online course help I could follow, especially the tips on testing output and aligning barcodes. I’ll remember to assign printers by warehouse and verify label type in packing before a pilot, turning your steps into a tidy checklist.

We were launching a project and ran into a perennial problem: graphics. We wanted to do everything ourselves, but deadlines were slipping, and the quality was lacking. I turned to freelancers a couple of times, but the results were sometimes crude and sometimes completely out of style. Finally, an industry friend told me to try VSQUAD. I went to VSQUAD Studio official and realized they were exactly what I needed. These guys have been working since 2015 and create full-cycle art for games: characters, environments, vehicles, weapons, animations—basically, everything that transforms an idea into a living project. At first, I was hesitant, thinking it would be expensive and time-consuming, but in reality, they significantly sped up the process and delivered…
