EWM Warehouse Organizational Structure
1. Warehouse Enterprise Organizational Structure
2. Warehouse Organizational Master Data
1. Define Warehouse Number
In this IMG activity you create warehouse numbers with a corresponding description.
In SAP Extended Warehouse Management, a warehouse complex is mapped as a warehouse number, which you can use to identify the warehouse complex. An essential factor for defining a warehouse number is the physical location. A warehouse number summarizes storage types and storage bins that are organized and managed together.
All operations in warehouse management, such as put-away or stock removals of products, are always executed within a warehouse number.
A warehouse number has the following attributes:
A warehouse number has a short description but no address.
You can store warehouse-specific product data.
Within a warehouse number, stocks are managed on a quantity basis and not on a value basis.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> Master Data> Define Warehouse Number
2. Copy Warehouse Number Customizing
In this IMG activity, you can copy all warehouse-number-dependent entries in Customizing tables into a new warehouse number. Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) determines the Customizing tables using the foreign key dependencies for the warehouse number. However, EWM does not copy the number range intervals.
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> Cross process Settings> Copy Warehouse Number Customizing
3. Assign Warehouse Number from Logistics Execution
In this Customizing activity, you define the mapping of warehouse numbers from the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP system) to the warehouse numbers in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
Requirements
You have defined warehouse numbers for the EWM system.
You have defined the business system for the ERP system.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> interfaces> ERP Integration> General Settings> Assign Warehouse Number from Logistics Execution
4. Map Storage Location from ERP System to EWM
In this Customizing activity, you map storage locations onto the warehouse numbers in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and assign an availability group to each storage location.
For more information about availability groups, see Availability Group.
Requirements
You have defined the availability groups in Customizing for EWM under Configure Availability Group for Put-away.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> interfaces> ERP Integration> Goods Movement> Map Storage Location from ERP System to EWM
5. Define Storage Type
In this Customizing activity, you define the various storage types within a warehouse number. A warehouse number is divided up into various storage types. A storage type is defined by its spatial or organizational attributes A storage type has a short description but no address, and you cannot store any storage-type-specific product data. Storage types are the highest level of organization.
Storage Types are grouping of storage bin that have similar attributes (for example, high rack storage area, bulk storage, goods receipt zones).
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> Master Data> Define Storage Type
6. Define Storage Section
In this Customizing activity, you assign storage sections to a warehouse number and a storage type.
A storage section is an organizational unit within the storage type, which summarizes storage bins with common attributes for the purpose of put-away.
The use of storage sections in a storage type is only mandatory if you use storage section control or storage section search in the storage type.
Defining of Storage Section is not mandatory in EWM. (Example, Fast Moving Item, Slow Moving Item etc.)
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> Master Data> Define Storage Section
7. EWM Organizational Element
7.1 Business Partner
In SAP EWM Vendor and Customer Master Data are maintained under different Business Partner Roles
T-code: BP
SAP Easy access> SAP Menu> Logistics> Material Management> Master Data> Vendor> Purchasing> Central> Create
BP Role: FLVN00- FI Vendor
BP Role: FLVN01- Supplier
7.2 Supply Chain Unit
Physical or Organizational unit that used within a logistical process (Example, Goods Receipt Office, Shipping Office)
SCU is the physical location of Warehouse
Manufacturing Plant (NVRP)> Warehouse (NVWM)> Warehouse Physical location of 3rd party logistics- (1001)
Case1> When we have manufacturing plant owned warehouse

SAP Easy Access> SAP Menu> Logistics> SCM EWM> Extended Warehouse Management>Master Data> Maintain Supply Chain Unit
7.3 Party Entitled to Dispose
An organization, defined as a business partner that is entitled to dispose of stock. Usually Disposal Party is the plant in EWM.
Party entitled to dispose who has the authority to dispose the stock.
Plant> WH>NVWM
If you are Storing 3 Plants Material in Single Warehouse>You must have 3 Party Entitled to dispose
T-code: BP> Create BP with FLVN00- FI Vendor Role and FLVN01- Supplier Role
7.4 Owner
Specifies the partner or Organization that owns the stock, Plant location of the warehouse, Plant is the owner
CEVA Logistics> Owner
8. Assign Warehouse Number
In this IMG activity, you assign warehouse numbers to the master data supply chain unit.
You should only make this assignment once for each warehouse number. Make sure that the owner of the warehouse and the default party entitled to dispose refer to business partners that already exist. The default party entitled to dispose is proposed, for example, when you manually create a warehouse request.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM EWM> Extended Warehouse Management> Master Data> Assign Warehouse Number
9. Assign Warehouse Number to EWM Warehouse Number
In this IMG activity, you assign the warehouse number of the decentralized SCM system to the warehouse number of the ERP system. You need this assignment to select the materials required in Extended Warehouse Management during distribution of the material master data.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> Integration to Other SAP Components> Assign Warehouse Number to EWM Warehouse Number
10. Storage Bins
10.1 Define Storage Bins
A Storage Section can be divided into Bins and Bin is the location where Inventory Stored (Example, Exact Location)
In this Customizing activity, you define your storage bin types. You can divide your storage bins into groups according to their physical attributes (for example, large bins, small bins).
During slotting, you can have the system determine a preferred storage bin type.
In combination with the handling unit type, a suitable storage bin is suggested to you during put-away.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> Master Data> Storage Bins> Define Storage Bin
10.2 Define Storage Bin Identifiers for Storage Bin Structure
In this Customizing activity, you define storage bin identifiers. You use these for Define Storage Bin Structures to uniquely identify the parts of the storage bin and to define activity areas independently of the storage type.
For each part of a storage bin, you can define a letter as the storage bin identifier.
Activities
If necessary, define the storage bin identifier for the individual parts of a storage bin. You can make one entry for each warehouse number.
If you do not define any storage bin identifiers, later on you will not be able to define activity areas independently of the storage type.
T-code: SPRO
SAP IMG Screen> SCM Extended Warehouse Management> Extended Warehouse Management> Master Data> Storage Bins> Define Bin Identifiers for Storage Bin Structure
10.3 Define Storage Bin Structure
In this Customizing activity, you define your storage bin structures with the same configuration. The system uses the initial storage bin structure to automatically create a sequence of similar storage bins.
Requirements
For the current warehouse number, you defined storage bin identifiers for the storage bin structure, so that the system can deal with activity areas separately.
Activities
Define your structures for storage bins with the same setup.
Specify the bin definition.
Enter the warehouse number and the sequence number.
Define a template that displays the constant and the variable parts of the storage bin.
Define the structure of the storage bins.
