Test Inbound Process with TU Process in SAP EWM


The purpose of this blog is to state the process flow of the Inbound process with the TU process in SAP Extended Warehouse Management.


Step 1: Create Purchase Order

Step 2: Create Inbound Delivery in S/4HANA

Step 3: Maintain Inbound Delivery in EWM

Step 4: Create TU in EWM, Assign Door, Assign Inbound Delivery to TU

Step 5: TU Check Point Arrival, TU Door Arrival, Create Unloading Task

Step 6: Confirm Unloading in the RF Environment

Step 7: TU Door Departure, Check Point Departure

Step 8: Status of Goods Receipt in EWM and S/4HANA


  1. Create Purchase Order 

Step 1: Enter T-code

Step 2: Enter Organizational Data

Step 3: Enter Material

Step 4: Quantity

Step 5: Base Unit

Step 6: Enter Plant

Step 7: Enter Storage Location

Step 8: Enter Inbound in the Conformation tab

Step 9: Click on Save

  • Purchase Order Number: 4500005542 created

  1. Create Inbound Delivery in S/4HANA  

Step 1: Enter Vendor, Purchase Order

Step 2: Enter Vendor/ Purchase Order/ External ID

Step 3: Pack Delivery

Step 4: Enter Packing Material, press enter HU get created, Select HU and Line Item and click on Pack, Both Material get packed on one HU.

Step 5: Click on Save

  1. Maintain Inbound Delivery in EWM

Step 1: Enter T-code: /N/SCWM/PRDI

Step 2: Enter Delivery Document 180002710, execute

Step 3: Click on HU tab

  • Product

  • Goods Movement

  • Status and Shipping Conditions

  1. Process a Transportation Unit

Step 1: Enter Start and End Date, and click on Continue

Step 2: Click on Create Icon

Step 3: Enter, Means of Transport, Enter Packing Material, and Select Shipping & Receiving Activity for Example Inbound

Step 4: Click on Assign Door tab, and Assign Door to TU

Step 5: Select Free Door. Door Assignment Completed, and Save

Step 6: Click On Assign Delivery Immediate

Step 7: Inbound Delivery 180002710 Assigned to TU, and Save

Step 8: Go to Action> Check Point> Check Point Arrival

  • TU Status updated Planned to Active and Door Status is Planned

Step 9: Go to Action> Door> Arrival at Door, and Save

  • Door is in Active Status Now

Step 10: Click on Create Warehouse Task, and Save

  1. Check Warehouse Task in EWM Monitor 

Step 1: Enter T-code: /N/SCWM/MON

Step 2: Enter Warehouse Number

Step 3: Enter Monitor and Execute

Step 4: Inbound> Document> Inbound Delivery

Step 5: Enter Inbound Delivery- 180002710 and Execute

Step 6: Click on Warehouse Order

Step 7: Warehouse Task

  1. Confirm Unloading through RFUI 

Step 1: Enter, Warehouse Number, Resource, Default Device, Execute

Step 2: Click on Inbound Process

Step 3: Click on Unloading

Step 4: Click on Unloading by Transportation Unit

Step 5: Enter Door, and Execute

Step 6: Scan Handling Unit

Step 7: Scan Destination Bin

Step 8: Unloading Complete

  1. Check Warehouse Task in EWM Monitor 

Step 1: Enter T-code: /N/SCWM/MON

Step 2: Enter Warehouse Number

Step 3: Enter Monitor and Execute

Step 4: Inbound> Document> Inbound Delivery

Step 5: Enter Inbound Delivery- 180002710 and Execute

  1. Process Transportation Unit Status After Unloading

Step 1: Enter TU Number, and Execute

  • Unloading and Goods Receipt Completed

Step 2: Go to Action> Door> Departure from Door

  • Door in Active Status

  • After Departure Door Now Compete Status

Step 3: Go to Action> Check Point> Departure and Save

  • TU in Active Status

  • After Check Point Departure TU Status is Completed

  1. Display Inbound Delivery in EWM 

Step 1: Enter Inbound Delivery Document, and Execute, here we can see Goods Receipt and Unloading Completed, Put-away Not Started

  1. Display Inbound Delivery in S/4HANA after Goods Receipt

Step 1: Enter Delivery Document, and Execute

Step 2: Click on Goods Movement

Step 3: Goods Movement Completed, Click on Document Flow

Step 4: GR Document Created, Display Document

Step 5: Click Document Info> FI Document

  • Accounting Document

  • CO Document

  • Material Ledger

The above steps must be followed for the Inbound Process with TU in SAP EWM.
